I came in for an oil change and asked that the heat be checked out since there was no heat. I was brought out to the technician who told me that mice must?ve gotten into my dash and built a nest so he would have to take the dash apart, clean it all out Recharge something and that was going to cost $35-$3800. I of course refused as I don?t trust Monroe?s technicians to do anything more than oil changes and tires. I brought it to a reputable garage who have diagnosed it and scoped the heating system . There are no mice and the repair is going to cost me under $1000. Based on this experience, I will never go back to Monroe for anything and I will also put reviews online to let people know that the mechanics don?t necessarily know what they?re talking about . This experience supports many peoples view about mechanics and how they inflate things and make things up. My hope is that this business loses business as it should. Brought the car in for an oil change and to get a slow leak fixed on passenger rear tire on 10/13. The tire had a slow leak which would alert every 3-4 days. When we picked up the car, I was also charged 40 dollars for a wheel balance I didn?t ask for. When we dropped the car off the lower pressure tire alert was on?when my daughter drove it home she noticed the alert was (still) on. In fact, the tire with the leak was still in the passenger rear position, so I obviously never received the ?complimentary tire rotation?. As this has me fuming, I had to check the oil and oil filter to see if they actually changed them- it appears they did. So I bring it back in and explained to the girl what had happened- when I mentioned that the tires were never rotated she explained that: ?yes, it?s complimentary but you have to ask for it??sounded ridiculous. So I leave my car there a second time to get the tire leak fixed and told them I need it done by 12 noon as my daughter needs it for school. Get there 12 noon- they said they never got to it because of ?some confusion? no apology. Third time, they fixed it. I?m never going back....
