I brought my 2018 Honda HR-V to Monro for an inspection of brakes, rotors, and a possible tie rod issue. After inspection, I was advised that shocks and tires were also needed. While trying to manage the logistics and financial implications of the repairs during a busy workday, I asked the shop to pause work so I could better understand my options. After further discussion, I ultimately decided to continue service with Monro for brakes and rotors only. I understand that stopping and restarting work can create frustration and workflow issues in a shop environment, and I appreciate the position that puts the technicians in. However, after I asked for the pause, the customer service experience noticeably declined. Communication became increasingly apathetic, and the professionalism at the front desk was inconsistent. I was also assured multiple times that my vehicle would be completed by the end of the second day after authorizing repairs early that morning, but the work was not finished on time and extended into a third day due to staffing limitations. The evening desk employee I spoke with was polite, professional, and helpful, and I appreciated their communication during the process. Unfortunately, the overall experience became far more stressful than it needed to be during what was already a difficult week personally and logistically. I understand repairs take time and unexpected complications happen, but clearer communication, more consistent professionalism, and more realistic expectations around timing would have significantly improved the customer experience.....Read More
