I have 17 years in the auto repair industry. I ran a specialty repair shop, the one that Monro would bring cars that they couldn?t even repair. I do my own repairs on my Porsche Cayenne but unfortunately I do not have a tire machine or alignment machine. So, to my dismay I found myself at this Monro. Expecting a $79.95 alignment, when I got the bill it was $216.49!! No phone call or authorization for the extra charges. They switched the tires and set the tire pressure monitoring system. 2 days after, the TPMS has not been right since. My only thought is they whacked it changing the tires. Fine, I?m never going back there, my friends, family and loyal customers won?t either. The $136 has cost them several thousand in the 6 months since?. This weekend I noticed my right front tire is bald on the outside. So, obviously the alignment was improper. I still have my winter tires and checked them, they are perfectly fine. How could one set of tires with 40,000 miles be fine while another set with less than half that have EXTREME uneven wear? I went back yesterday to see if Monro would take accountability and of course they did not. I can not stress enough, please do not bring your vehicle or let your loved ones go here. They are the type of shop that give auto repair a bad name. I have filled out my VS-35 with the NY DMV. Now I am working on filing a complaint with the New York Attorney General, the BBB, this review and lastly a small claims action is on the way. It?s the only way to hold these types of shops accountable.....
