You should check the oil every few hundred miles, or every other time you fill your gas tank. Consult your owner’s manual for the position of the oil dipstick and engine oil filler opening. The best time to check the oil is when your engine is warm and on level ground. Turn off the vehicle and wait a few minutes. Then pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean with a rag, and reinsert it. Push it all the way in. Pull out the dipstick, again. It will have either two notches or an indent to show the oil level. It’s best to keep the oil level at or near the top mark. If the oil is between the two marks, you may add oil. Below the bottom mark, add oil. At or above the top mark, do not add oil. Too much oil in your engine can actually cause problems. If you’re low, add oil a little at a time (no more than half a quart to a quart), then re-check. Replace the dipstick before you close the hood. It’s a good idea to keep at least one quart of oil in your garage and one in your trunk. The oil specifications for your make and model are in your owner’s manual. Or, stop by one of our stores. So today is my final time ever coming here. I left a review a year ago on how they stripped 3 of my lug bolts and sent my out the door to budget to get it fixed. The owner/manager called and offered a oil change which I turned down due to me using full synth. I later changed my review in October after they saved me a headache and got me on the road in time for vacation. Well today I go in for just a routine rotation and it is there for over 2 hours! Then, the guy doing the rotation starts about how lug bolts are stripped. I go out and look and it is one of the new ones put on last year and still looks brand new except the last inch of thread is chewed up. He goes on about how it's someone else's fault. I literally took the tire off and put on a donut with no issue and you guys put the tire back on after plugging the hole. Nothing was wrong with that lug bolt, and instead of offering to fix it or take responsibility he hands me the lug nut and again for the second rotation sends me out the door for budget to fix my problem they caused. So guess what? I will now only go to budget since they always have to fix the issues you guys cause. I will just eat the cost of the warranty I purchased when I bought my tires, I will eat the free rotations and pay for them at budget...I will never come back. This place is only capable of hiring imbeciles and crooks. Good riddance!....
