My first couple experiences were fine. My most recent visit was on wed eve for an oil change prior to a 3 hr road trip. Upon closing out, I was told that I needed a couple services but the most pressing was an alignment and new tire. I was also told that it would not be safe to drive the 3 hrs there and another 3 hrs back without getting it corrected. When I called Thur to make an appt for the next day with the call center, it was scheduled for later that morning. I asked to be transferred to the shop so I can inquire directly about length of time so I can figure out what time I?d be getting on the road. Only to find out from the gentleman who answered the phone that there was no one who could do an alignment and I?d have to schedule it for Friday. I expressed my concerns regarding how I could receive an appt and the person scheduling does not know the day to day capacity of the shop. The person I spoke with said they were unsure but that I could be scheduled for Friday. (At this point I need to cancel my road trip because my event was Thursday evening). That brings me to today when I go to bring my car in for service. The man at the front desk asks me why I think I need an alignment. I explain what the gentleman from earlier in the week had told me and also showed the paperwork of the inspection that was completed. He said ok and went to talk to the service tech, returned to tell me it?d be about an hour. He also stated he?d call if they confirm I need a new tire. Approx 15 mins later after leaving I receive a call that now tells me I don?t need an alignment but just a new tire. I asked for what changed from earlier this week to now. I was told that the individual did not confirm whether all tires were the same and it was moreso that I had a used tire that wasn?t wearing out evenly. Now am I grateful that I don?t need extra work ? sure.But the fact that I had to miss an important trip over someone?s misstep is concerning and extremely frustrating. Makes me less than enthused to revisit this shop for anything more than a basic oil change.....
