FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQS)

Auto Repair, Oil Change, Tire, and Related Auto Service Information

Many vehicles these days now have an oil life monitor that tells you when it’s time. Otherwise, follow the instructions in your owner’s manual. Ask your technician to print out the oil change and maintenance schedule for your make and model. Regular oil changes keep your engine running in top condition, save gas, and help you avoid major repairs. In fact, you can improve your gas economy by about 5%, according to the U.S. Department of Energy, by keeping your car in shape, inflating your tires to the correct pressure, and using the recommended grade of oil for your engine.* Make sure to take a look at our oil change coupons and promotions! *https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/maintain.jsp the official U.S. government source for fuel economy information.

Signs your brakes need attention:

  • A soft brake pedal that offers little resistance and pushes to the floor
  • Unusual sounds like grinding, growling, screeching or squeaking
  • Your vehicle pulls to one side when you apply the brakes
  • A vibration or pedal kickback

Worn tires can affect your safety:

  • Wear and tear can significantly affect your stopping time on a wet road
  • Worn or bald tires can puncture easily causing flat tires and possible blow outs
  • Tread depth is crucial for water displacement and keeping good contact with the road

If you’re not sure if your tires are ready for replacement, stop by and have our trained mechanics and technicians check your tires for you.

Brought my vehicle in to install rotors and bleed my brakes. I was told my vehicle was done I went to the office and paid while they backed it out of the garage. One side of the garage and my keys were handed back to me and I got in my car I learned that I had no breaks. (They didn't even take it for test drive) This was on a Sunday so they were closing so I had to leave my vehicle there for them to find out why. I was told before I left that there was oil in my brake fluid reservoir which turned out to be a complete and total fabrication. Over the next 4 days they proceeded to tell me that they were flushing the oil out of my brake lines on the fourth day I was told they had to replace my master cylinder as a starting point and that was going to cost me just under $1,500 to which I asked what do you mean a starting point You're telling me I could pay that money and still not have operable brakes to which the manager replied Yes we won't know until after we replace the master cylinder. The next day I had my vehicle towed from Monroe and towed to AAA Auto where the technician discovered the calipers were put on backwards and the lines were crushed due to the calipers being installed backwards and them forcing the lines on. Had I decided to keep it at Monroe and pay the $1,500 for the master cylinder I still wouldn't have had brakes and they would have went on to Then replace The next component of my breaks . And to what end?! Upon calling the manager to explain what the technician at the other garage discovered he then denied they even took the calipers off of my front brakes to which I replied how did you get my rotors on then? The phone call fell in silence to where I had to ask if he was still there. Needless to say I asked for a refund of the money I paid them. But what I really think they should pay is the $615 that I have to pay to AAA to take the improperly installed calipers and put them on correctly and replace the crushed lines and replace the braking fluid. I will never recommend nor use this company as well as tell anybody who will listen what I experienced.....Read More
