I've been going to my local Monro for over 20 years. I've always been happy with the service, and I've sent many friends and family there. They did a good job on my brakes on my last visit. But...they broke one of my wheel covers when they were working on my car. If they had told me when I picked it up, I wouldn't have been upset. But no one said a word to me about it. I know it wasn't broken before, because I was looking at my rotors right before I dropped it off. I feel like it's shady that no one told me there was a piece missing from my wheel cover. Valve stem replacement and tire rotation. No appointment, but was told I could bring my car in at 11AM same day. I arrived with a spare on my left rear. Nearly 3 and a half hours later, they finally took my car to the bay. The service took over an hour to perform and I paid $29.99 for the rotation. The new valve stem wasn't on my bill, but staff indicated it was indeed replaced. The proper left rear tire was back on, but a few miles down the road my tire pressure light came back on. When I stopped at an air pump I realized the same left rear valve stem was still hissing leaking air and that led me to identify that my tire had not been rotated. If it had, then it would not be the left rear that was hissing. I drove right back to the shop and has the technician running the desk take a look. He seemed very confused, but told me he swore he heard the other tech rotate all tires. I explained that maybe he rotated the other three but the left rear was not rotated. He told me I could wait another hour or so to have it examined or to come in the next morning. I elected to return the next morning. The tech who supposedly rotated my tires and changed my valve stem spoke to me directly assuring me he had rotated the tires. He took my car into the bay to replace the valve stem again. I checked it myself when he returned it to me and the stem was still leaking. He said he couldn't figure out what the issue was. I didn't not end up paying any additional prices other than the rotation, but these guys were going to send me off without identifying my issues or performing a service completely. This is terrible business. I would have rated only 1 star if the desk technician hadn't been so nice. Still, his kindness doesn't make up for the shoddy work.
