In Jan I had an antifreeze leak & went to the Battle Creek, Mi facility. It was the water pump, then they had other problems. They had my car for 6 days. That cost me $2000.00. After about a week it was leaking again. I was told to drive it for a couple weeks, that there could be air in the lines. It was still leaking after those 2 weeks & told the same, to drive it for another 2 weeks. After those 2 weeks their only certified mechanic had quit. They were having trouble getting a certified tech because their wages had changed, so they told me to come back in a week or 2 & hopefully they'd have a certified tech in. I went back and the manager & other techs had quit. I was told by the only tech there that I'd have to go to one of the other facilities & they would take care of it. Brian, the Battle Creek manager had always been great & tried his best to help or made things right. By all the times to keep checking back, it was April. I called the Portage, Mi. facility on S Westnedge Ave (#1217 - repair facility # F165478) to make an appointment. When I arrived for my appt, the was a new tech there & the manager. After their inspection, they found that the fluid leak was coming from the radiator & I'd need a new one. I told the manager everything that had gone on at the other shop. When I asked if I would be able to get a discount because of not being able to go back to the other facility & told to go there. The manager said what went on there was between me and them. He would give me a coupon discount & that was only $34.66. The cost for the radiator, labor, 3 gal antifreeze, misc services plus a $39 shop fee & taxes was $770.82. The said they would try to have it done that day, but called that evening & said they had problems with another customer's car and they would get to my car sometime the next day. It was finally ready the next day a couple hours before they closed. I believe they were having the same problems as the other shop with not having enough techs or certified ones. On the second day the manager wasn't there and they had to bring in a tech from another shop. Also, at the Battle Creek shop they said they had to put 3 different gaskets on the water pump for it to stop leaking. When I need an oil change, I might go to one of your shops, but for any other work, I will have to find a different shop. Julia B....
